This privacy policy is essentially a consent form for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal client information as it pertains to therapy programs offered by Integrative Intentions.  Privacy of your persoal information is an important part of our professional practice, providing you with quality integrated health care, with the foundation in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release.  We understand the importance of protecting your personal information responsibly.  We also try to be as open and transparent as possible about the way we handle your personal information.

 

All members of the Integrative Intentions team, including both therapists and staff members, are aware of the sensitive nature of the information that you have disclosed to us.  They are all informed in the appropriate uses and protection of your information. Only necessary information is collected about you; we only share your information with your consent.  Storage, retention, and destruction of your personal information complies with exisitng legislation and privacy protection protocols. Our privacy protocols comply with privacy legislation, standards of our regulatory body, National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), in compliance with regulatory standards of Upledger Institute & International Alliance of Healthcare Educators, and the law.

 

Please do not hesitate to discuss our policies with any individual on our Integrative Intentions team and be assured that we are committed to ensuring that you receive the best quality care.  Our Integrative Intentions team understands the importance of protecting your personal information.  To help you understand how we are doing that, we have outlined here now how Integrative Intentions is using and disclosing your information.  Integrative Intentions will collect, use, and disclose information about you for the following purposes:

To deliver safe and efficient client care

To identify and to ensure continuous high quality service

To assess your health needs

To advise you of treatment/therapy options

To enable us to contact you and maintain communication

To communicate with other health care providers

For teaching and demonstrating purposes on an anonymous basis

If applicable, to complete and submit claims for third party adjudication, pre-approval when necessary, and payment

If applicable, to deliver your charts and records to the insurance carrier to enable them to assess liability and quantify treatment/therapy

To invoice for goods and services and process credit card, debit, and check payments

To collect unpaid accounts, this may include referral to a third party collection agency and may include that agency reporting unpaid accounts to a Credit Bureau

To assist Integrative Intentions to comply with all regulatory requirements and the law
