
CTP Mentoring
Requirements for Mentors:
A Mentor in an Comprehensive Therapy Program is CST-D Certified
Has completed a minimum of Advanced 1 in the Upledger curriculum.
Has the capacity to mentor:
Creates and maintains a safe therapeutic container for the client and entire therapy team.
Exhibits the people skills necessary to be a good mentor.
Is willing to undergo peer review to encourage excellence.
Participates as a therapist in at least one CTP per year.
Participates in the mentoring team meetings.
Beginning in January 2014 Integrative Intentions is initiating a CTP and DACTP Mentoring Program. This will start with CTP's in the US and the DACTP in the Bahamas, and may be extended to, or modified in, other countries.
First time attending support therapists will be encouraged to enroll in this program, as space is available.
Any returning therapists may also enroll.
II selected Advanced Therapists will provide the Mentoring.
The mentor will provide four hours of one-on-one mentoring during a CTP. This will involve time outside the regular therapy program times; mornings, lunch time, evenings, and may include pre or post days of the CTP.
A one hour therapy session with the mentor is offered as one of the four hours.
There will be a tuition fee of $400 for mentoring. $350 will be paid to the Mentor for thier services and $50 will cover admistrative fees.
Each CTP will satisfy the precepting requirements for UI Diplomate Certification and will provide 37 hours of continuing education for NCBTMB. The DACTP provides 24 hours of continuing education for NCBTMB. Support therapists consider a CTP to be a profound learning experience. It is truly CST in the flesh, with intimate supervision of applications of CST, and an essential learning opportunity for our Support Therapists.
